Inspirat de cartea Lilianei Nechita, `Cireşe amare` şi realizat ȋn urma unei ample documentări desfăşurate ȋn localităţi din judeţul Vaslui, ROVEGAN explorează fenomenul migraţiei motivate de sărăcie dinspre Europa de Est spre Occident.
Urmând traseul unui basm contemporan, spectacolul ficţionalizează experienţa mamelor nevoite să plece la muncă ȋn Italia şi interoghează asupra efectelor unei astfel de dislocări ȋn plan personal şi social. ROVEGAN ia forma unui storytelling colectiv urmărind povestea unei familii prin prisma a trei generaţii de femei şi a modului ȋn care fiecare ȋnţelege lupta pentru o viaţă mai bună.
Spectacolul face parte din trilogia migraţiei, un proiect realizat de grupul eastgowest şi ARENA, şi a fost prezentat ȋn cadrul unui turneu naţional co-finanţat de AFCN, ȋn cadrul Platformei de teatru şi dezbatere GO WEST.

Inspired by Liliana Nechita's book Bitter cherries and made after extensive documentation in villages in Vaslui County, ROVEGAN explores the phenomenon of poverty-driven migration from Eastern Europe to the West.
Following the course of a contemporary fairytale, the show fictionalizes the experience of mothers who have to go to work in Italy and questions about the effects of such dislocation on a personal and social level. ROVEGAN takes the form of a storytelling chorus following the story of a family along three generations of women and the way they each understand fighting for a better life.
The performance is part of the trilogy of migration – a project created by eastgowest and ARENA – and was presented as part of GO WEST theatre and debate platform in a national tour co-produced by AFCN, the Administration of the National Cultural Fund.
