“Piesa Scrisori de dragoste a lui A.R. Gurney a fost și este în continuare una dintre piesele pentru doi actori dintre cele mai jucate pe toate meridianele. Emoționant și, în același timp, plin de umor, romanul epistolar al autorului american a fost abordat de cupluri de actori celebri, în special actori de film, care au dorit să demonstreze că sunt și buni interpreți de teatru. Mariana Mihuț și Victor Rebengiuc nu au acceptat propunerea mea din acest motiv, ei nu mai au nevoie demult să mai demonstreze, nici în teatru și nici în film cât de mari actori sunt. Au fost alături de mine pur și simplu pentru că le face plăcere să spună o poveste de iubire, pe care minunatul lor talent o face și mai frumoasă.” (Mircea Cornișteanu)

Love Letters, the play by A. R. Gurney, was and still is one of the two-actor theatre plays that were ever staged around the world. Touching and full of humour at the same time, the epistolary novel written by the American author has been interpreted by famous couples of actors, mainly film actors, who wanted to prove their skill on stage. It was not with that reason in mind that Mariana Mihuţ and Victor Rebengiuc accepted my proposal, because they have long proved their talent both in theatre and in film. They simply joined me because they love telling a love story, which has turned out ever more beautiful thanks to their talent.(Mircea Cornișteanu)
