Într-un oraş-port de la capătul lumii, timpul se scurge încet. Atât de încet, încât a trebuit ca locuitorii săi să înveţe câte un joc potrivit fiecăruia pentru a alunga plictiseala şi norii grei, de ploaie, care îi împresoară. Dar nici monotonia şi nici ploaia nu s-au risipit. În schimb, jocurile au căpătat o patină comercială, iar ei, oamenii, au alunecat într-o melancolie fără leac şi, cel mai grav, au uitat… au uitat de istovitoarea, dar plăcuta fugă după viaţă şi de neaşteptatele ei farse, au uitat gustul dulce al viselor, bucuria iubirii şi aroma dorinţei… De fapt, au uitat să trăiască.
Însă o ofertă de nerefuzat le va stârni interesul şi le va suci minţile. Vinovatul? Un străin misterios, care face un popas de trei nopţi în oraş şi în vieţile locuitorilor lui. Promisiunea sa pune lumea în mişcare… Să fie el un magician sau un scamator, un amăgitor sau un salvator mult aşteptat?

There is harbour, on the edge of the earth, where time flows so slowly, that every dweller needs to learn a game of their own, to chase away the overwhelming boredom and the sullen clouds heavy with rain. Yet, neither dullness nor rain fades away. Games gain commercial speed, the people fall into endless melancholy and what is worse is that they forget… They forget about the exhausting, but delightful race for life, they forget about life’s sudden hoaxes, the sweet taste of dreaming, the joy of love and the scent of desire…
In fact, they forget to live.
An offer that cannot be rejected will excite them and screw their brains. It comes from a mysterious stranger, who spends three nights in town and fares through the lives of its dwellers. His promise sets the world in motion… Could he be a magus or a conjurer, a deceiver or the long-awaited saviour?
